Cardoza Creek Restoration at Tolay Lake Regional Park

Cardoza Creek construction at Tolay Lake

What & Why?

Cardoza Creek at Tolay Lake Regional Park was overgrown with invasive vegetation, and large debris such as cars and appliances had been dumped and accumulated over the years.

This project cleared the area and restored Cardoza Creek to its natural state by planting native species and dramatically improving the wildlife habitat.

Restoration Project Completed in August 2013

All trails that had been closed for construction are open and Cardoza Creek has been returned to its natural beauty.
