UPDATED: Housing Sites EIR Scoping Period Extended to May 14 and Virtual Scoping Meeting to Be Held May 6

Published:  April 16, 2020

Permit Sonoma is publishing an updated Notice of Preparation (NOP), notifying responsible agencies and interested parties of its intent to prepare a Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) to analyze sites proposed for possible rezoning to facilitate the development of housing. The NOP initiates a comment period during which agency staff and interested members of the public may submit comments, either written or verbal, on the scope of the environmental issues to be addressed in the EIR

The original comment period began March 11, 2020, and was scheduled to end at 5:00 PM on April 10, 2020. The updated NOP extended the comment period to May 8. As of May 5, 2020, the comment period is extended again to 5:00 p.m. on May 14.

Additionally, a public scoping meeting was scheduled to take place on Thursday April 2, 2020, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the County will hold a virtual scoping meeting. The virtual scoping meeting is rescheduled for May 6, 2020, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, as an online webinar.
