Customer Service Ombudsman

The Permit Sonoma Ombudsman is a member of the management team whose sole focus is providing value-added customer service on individual projects and facilitating process improvements that result in a more user friendly permitting process both for customers and staff. The Ombudsman works department wide and across divisions to accomplish these results. In addition, the Ombudsman acts as the Permit Sonoma ambassador to the Business Community and the Citizens of Sonoma County.

Why Contact the Ombudsman?

If you need help with the application process,

If you are experiencing difficulty in having your permit issued,

If you are receiving conflicting information from PRMD staff,

If you don't understand the requirements for your submittal,

If the review/inspection process is inconsistent or overwhelming,

If you have a concern or fear of retribution,

Contact Ombudsman

The position of Customer Service Ombudsman was created by the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors to provide a single point of contact for customers needing assistance with permitting issues.
