Permit Sonoma in a COVID-19 Environment
From 17 March to 05 April, Permit Sonoma and the Resiliency Permit Center will move from physical to virtual operation, using e-submittals, telephony, and other technologies. Both offices will be closed physically. Most employees will work from home. Except for inspections subject to social distancing and other health and safety measures, staff communications with the public will occur by e-mail and telephone.
New Ideas for Permit Sonoma's Business
This transition represents a significant change in Permit Sonoma’s business. We are doing our best to balance the safety and health of our customers and employees with the need of our economy as we recover from multiple disasters. With any big and sudden change, it will not be perfect. We will make mistakes and, with your help, get them corrected as quickly as possible. This disaster also affords us the opportunity to conduct our business differently, so please be open new business practices emanating from our organization.
If you have concerns, questions, or suggestions about these changes, please contact me at Tennis.Wick@Sonoma-County.org or (707) 565-1900.
I thank you in advance for adjusting to these changes in this extraordinary time. We wish all Sonomans the best of health as we deal with another disaster together.
Be well, be kind, and stay tuned.
Tennis Wick, AICP
