Category

Single Family Home

The primary dwelling unit on a property. Permit types:

SFD - Replacement – A single family dwelling unit that is the primary dwelling unit on a property.

Mobile Home – Colloquial term for manufactured home, which is designed and set up as the primary dwelling unit on a property.

Bridge

A structure spanning and providing passage over a river, chasm, road, or other obstacle.

Accessory Dwelling Unit

A dwelling unit that is accessory to the primary dwelling unit. Permit types:

Second Unit – A dwelling unit that is accessory to the primary dwelling unit on the property. Primarily known as an Accessory Dwelling Unit.

Mobile Home 2nd Unit – Colloquial term for manufactured home, which is designed and set up as a dwelling unit that is accessory to the primary dwelling unit on the property. Primarily known as an Accessory Dwelling Unit.

Permit Status

Statuses are listed in order of progression.

  1. Started: Application has been received by Permit Sonoma and entered into permit database.
  2. Approved for Plan Check: Application has been determined to be complete and ready for a Building Plans Examiner to review.
  3. Plan Check: Plan is currently being reviewed.
  4. Plan Check Approved: Building Plans Examiner has reviewed and approved the application.
  5. Pre-Issue: Application is approved and Permit Technician has assessed permit fees and invoiced the customer.
  6. Issued: Customer has paid permit fees and inspections can be scheduled.
  7. Finaled: All required inspections have been satisfactorily completed.
