Sonoma County Receives National Award for "Best of the Web" Cybersecurity Awareness Website.

Best of Web Cypersecurity Award 2016The Multistate Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC) is the focal point for cyber threat prevention, protection, response, and recovery for the nation's state, local(e.g. counties, cities), tribal, and territorial (SLTT) governments. MS-ISAC's Education and Awareness Workgroup held the 7th annual “Best of the Web” contest  which reviewed and judged cyber security websites for all 50 states, 6 territories and many local and tribal governments based upon several criteria including cyber security content, usability, accessibility, and appearance.

The goal of the contest was to recognize cybersecurity awareness websites and highlight them as best practices for others to consider when developing or re-designing their own sites. One winning website was chosen in the state/territory category and  one winning website was chosen in the local government category, and one winning website was chosen in the tribal government category.  

Sonoma County has won MS-ISAC's 2016 "Best of the Web"  website for the local government category. The cybersecurity awareness website was developed in conjunction with ISD's web team, social media presence (e.g. NextDoor), and collaborated with external partners including:
