Explore! The Power of Maps on November 18, 2015

Come to the Santa Rosa Finley Center on Wednesday, November 18th from 9 am - 3 pm for the largest GIS event in the North Bay. This FREE event is open to the public and showcases how GIS is being used in your community and at local schools. GIS Day is a global event for users of geographic information systems to exchange information and demonstrate real-world applications that are making a difference in our society.
Here are some highlights for this year's event:
- Learn about riparian modeling by the Open Space District.
- See how the City of Santa Rosa converts AutoCAD and GIS data for their Water Department Assets.
- Hear how the Economic Development Board created their popular Craft Beverage Map.
Presentations, exhibits and a map gallery will include local public agencies, non-governmental organizations and private organizations, including the County of Sonoma, Baseline Consulting, Sonoma Ecology Center, AgCode, and many more. Each presenter has the opportunity to unveil new techniques and applications to further the GIS industry.
