Baseline Categories and Cost

Changes for FY 2023-2024

To better align with best practices seen in other agencies, and simplify ISD’s costing model and rate administration practices, the three PC services will be combined into one PC rate in FY 23/24. The combined PC rate will exclude the infrastructure replacement cost component which takes away the major differentiating factor between Full/Limited/LAN. ISD is establishing a new infrastructure replacement rate that is shown below.

Desktop and Email

The services received for this charge include:

• Backup and Restore Data
• Data Storage
• Desktop support
• Email, Calendar and Contacts
• Internet Access
• Network Infrastructure
• Printer Support

Calculation methodology: Charged on a Per PC (desktops and laptops) basis; count adjusted monthly.

County Network Infrastructure Replacement

This catagory of baseline is for costs related to network infrastructure. 

•   Network Infrastructure

Calculation Methodology:  Charged on a Per PC (desktops and laptops) basis; count adjusted monthly.

Account and ID Management

Charged to all customers. Services include:  

Calculation Methodology:  Charged based on User ID count; adjusted monthly.

Application Support and Maintenance

Is to provide routine support and maintenance for specific departmental and county-wide applications.

This support is for fixes required to return software to working order after a failure and routine data management only. It does not include any application changes or additions, unless specified in the specific application description. 

• Software Maintenance

Calculation Methodology:  Estimated for budget based on history; charged for actual services provided at the hourly rate. 

SQL Database Support and Maintenance

Is for ISD maintained databases.

• Backup and Restore Data
• SQL Database Administration

Calculation Methodology:  Charged on an annual fee basis per each SQL database 

GIS Support

Applied to a specific set of customer departments. 

• Maintain County Base Map

Calculation Methodology:  Estimated annual cost billed quarterly based on fixed percentage to participating departments.
