  • Adoptions: Becoming a licensed foster parent is the first step to adopting a teen or child. Enhance your life and enhance your family by adopting through Sonoma County Family, Youth, and Children's Services.
  • Foster care offers protection for children removed from unsafe homes due to abuse or neglect who are dependents of the juvenile court.

The Family, Youth and Children's Division recruits and trains foster families to provide safe, stable, caring homes for foster children and teens.

Foster parents receive payment for the foster children in their care. Foster parents families include single adults, straight and gay couples, Spanish-speaking families, children's relatives, licensed community foster family homes, group homes and other approved caregivers.

  • Help protect children and teens from harm with just a phone call. Day or night, if you have concerns about a child's well-being, call the Child Protection Hotline at (707) 565-4304 or (800) 870-7064. Calls can be anonymous and are always confidential.
  • A child’s life is precious and your tax-deductible contribution, no matter at what level, will make a tremendous difference.  All donations are important to our campaign and the children.
