  • Adult Protective Services ( APS ) investigates suspected incidents of elder and dependent adult abuse, neglect or exploitation. APS provides 24-hour response to life threatening emergencies involving elder and dependent adults. APS also educates the community about elder abuse prevention and identification.
  • Find out about our services available to seniors, adults with disabilities and caregivers in Sonoma County. We have also provided links to other web sites that may be of interest.
  • In-Home Supportive Services is a Sonoma County Human Services Department program helps low-income seniors and people of any age living with a disability remain living safely and independently in their own homes.
  • The Linkages Program is a short-term, case management program for frail seniors and disabled adults, 60 years and older, to help them stay safely at home, rather than be placed in a skilled nursing facility or other institutional setting due to illness, injury or disability.
  • MSSP is a care management service for seniors. The MSSP care management team is made up of a social worker and a public health nurse. MSSP care managers work with the client, family members and others to find and coordinate services in the client's home.
  • The Public Administrator (PA) investigates and may administer the estates of persons who die with no will or without an appropriate person willing or able to act as administrator.

  • The Sonoma County Veterans Service Office program was established in 1944 to assist to veterans and their families, outside the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The office helps veterans apply for programs, benefits and services.
