Ramon Meraz

Ramon MerazBorn in Chihuahua Mexico, Ramon Meraz is a full time student of Urban Planning at Sonoma State University , as well as a private concierge.  He emigrated with family during high school to live in Orange County. During a chance visit in 1993, he fell in love with Sonoma County and has called it home ever since.

Meraz worked as substitute teacher after obtaining his bachelor's degree in Mexican-American studies at Sonoma State University in 2002, then went to become the chief concierge at the Hyatt Vineyard Creek in Santa Rosa for almost a decade. In 2014, Ramon was awarded " The Spirit of Sonoma" award from the Sonoma County Lodging Association.

Meraz sits on the board of Directors at Restorative Resources of Sonoma County; and is part of the "Measure O" Citizens oversight Committee for Santa Rosa; a member of the Roseland Area Projects Steering Committee; and a member of "Los Cien" Latino Leaders Group of Sonoma County.  

On the Human Rights Commission, Ramon is very interested in Immigrant Rights,  LGBT Rights, Affordable Housing, and Climate Change. Ramon is also in demand to work luxury hospitality events like the Napa Valley Film Festival and BottleRock Music Festival , and he is part of the "White Glove Program"  for the NFL Host Committee during Super Bowl Sunday in the Bay Area 2016.
