About Us

The County of Sonoma Commission on Human Rights (CHR) was established in 1993 to promote better human relations between all people in Sonoma County.  We are advisors to the Board of Supervisors on areas that impact the human rights of members of our community.  A detailed list of our current goals, projects, and activities can be found under Current Programs.

When Does The Commission Meet?

The Commission holds its regular meeting on the 4th Tuesday of each month beginning at 5:30 PM, except in November and December when it meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. These meetings are held in the hearing room of the Permit & Resource Management Department located at 2550 Ventura Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95403.
