Dental Health Network Meeting

The Dental Health Network (DHN) strives to strengthen Sonoma County's dental health system. The DHN’s primary goal is to have 75% of Sonoma County’s 5 year olds be cavity-free by 2020; which supports First 5’s strategic plan Goal 1 to Increase the availability of high quality, accessible health care for children. The Network brings together advocates and providers to learn about and address oral health issues.


Professional Community Advisory Committee Meeting

The Professional Community Advisory Committee (PCAC) advises the Commission on relevant issues of concern in the community and makes recommendations regarding strategic planning and evaluation.

We believe animal health and welfare is everyone’s responsibility, including controlling the size of the local animal population. One way we do this is through weekly spay and neuter clinics for qualifying low-income Sonoma County residents.

Volunteer Orientation and Training

This orientation and training is designed for first-time volunteers at Animal Services. Classes for November and December have been cancelled. The next New Volunteer Orientation training will be scheduled in January, 2018. Please check back in mid-December for an update.

QIRS Consortium Meeting

Quality Counts is the Quality Improvement and Rating System (QIRS) for early care and education programs in Sonoma County. Sonoma County’s QIRS Consortia is made up of early childhood education community members.

First 5 Evaluation Committee Meeting

The Evaluation Committee oversees the planning and implementation of activities related to program evaluation.


Communications Committee Meeting

The First 5 Communications Committee meets on the second Thursday of every other month; the community is invited to attend all meetings.
