    The County of Sonoma and ESC (Engineers and Scientists of California, Local 20) are pleased to announce that the parties' negotiating teams reached a tentative agreement for a successor bargaining agreement.

    The County of Sonoma and Western Council of Engineers (WCE) met again on June 15th. The parties reviewed economic and non-economic proposals still under consideration and discussed key areas for contract agreement. The parties continue to work collaboratively toward a contract package that will be acceptable to both parties.  The County and WCE are scheduled to meet again on June 22nd, 2016.

The parties continue to work collaboratively toward a contract package that will be acceptable to both parties. The County and Local 39 are scheduled to meet again on June 21st, 2016.

    The County of Sonoma and Engineers and Scientists of California (ESC), Local 20, last met on June 13, 2016. To date, the parties have met on 19 occasions, exchanged proposals and information, and received multiple presentations from both parties regarding various issues on the table. The County has proposed an economic package similar to that negotiated with other bargaining units and negotiations continue over proposed equity increases, furloughs and premium pay. The parties continue to discuss parameters for a potential settlement package. The parties meet again on June 20, 2016.

    The County of Sonoma and Western Council of Engineers (WCE) met again on June 6th and reviewed economic and non-economic proposals still under consideration and continue to work collaboratively toward a contract package that will be acceptable to both parties. The parties have scheduled more bargaining dates in June in an effort to reach agreement on a new contract. The current contract expired on June 1, 2016. The County and WCE are scheduled to meet again on June 15, 2016.

    The County of Sonoma and Local 39 met again on June 6th, 2016. The parties exchanged proposals, shared information and discussed contract language. The parties received a presentation from Julie Wyne, Retirement Administrator (Sonoma County Employees Retirement Association). Ms. Wyne explained how the retirement system is funded, and answered questions regarding administration, earnings and terminology. The parties continue to discuss proposals and continue to work toward agreement. The County and Local 39 are scheduled to meet again on June 9, 2016.

    The County of Sonoma and Western Council of Engineers (WCE) met again on June 1st, 2016. To date, the parties have met on six occasions, exchanged proposals and information, and received multiple presentations from County representatives regarding various issues on the table. The parties have discussed a number of proposals including, but not limited to: cost of living adjustments, converting the current County contributions to the Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRA) to County medical contributions, increased County contribution to active employee medical, dental, and vision benefits, and pension cost sharing for legacy member toward 50% of the normal cost. The current contract expired on June 1, 2016. The parties continue to discuss proposals and continue to work toward agreement. The County and WCE are scheduled to meet again on June 6, 2016. The County will continue to provide updates as bargaining continues.

The parties received a presentation from Jeanne Groen, County Benefits Manager. Ms. Groen presented background information related to several County proposals on benefits. The parties exchanged information and discussed contract language.  The County and WCE are scheduled to meet again on May 25th, 2016.

    The County of Sonoma and Sonoma County Public Defender Investigator's Association (SCPDIA) began contract negotiations early April 2016 and have met two times in an effort to reach agreement on a new contract.  Parties have submitted initial proposals and have exchanged data and discussed options. Most recently, parties met on April 20, 2016 where the County presented it's initial comprehensive proposal.

    The County of Sonoma and Sonoma County Law Enforcement Association (SCLEA) met on April 25, 2016 and finalized language for a tentative agreement for a successor contract.  The tentative agreement was ratified by the SCLEA membership on April 29, 2016. The tentative agreement is a multi-year deal with a 3% cost of living increase effective in May 2016, and in March 2017, and includes significant changes to County contributions toward medical benefits.
