Community Development Commission – Housing Authority is Seeking Low-Income Housing Aide Volunteers

The Sonoma County Housing Authority provides subsidized rental assistance to low-income families in Sonoma County. The program is seeking volunteers to assist with putting together packets and helping families.
Some of the duties of this volunteer position are:
- Provide clerical support to the housing program, such as sorting, copying, stapling, etc.
- Prepare informational and eligibility materials.
- General clerical tasks to assist the program
The ideal person should have an interest in assisting low-income families, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work with the public. Some training will be provided regarding the needs of and resources available to low-income families in Sonoma County. We will also train volunteers on the Housing Authority's program procedures and about eligibility for the program.
