17th Annual Day of Caring Event for County  of Sonoma and City of Santa Rosa Employees

County of Sonoma and City of Santa Rosa employees joined forces on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, for the 17th annual Day of Caring event. Employees participated in a day of service, working on a variety of projects ranging from painting, gardening, park trail work, packaging items at a food bank, graffiti removal and more. This year the focus was on projects that support homeless and affordable housing initiatives.

County of Sonoma and City of Santa Rosa employees are invited each year to participate on a Day of Caring team. The 2017 event drew over 300 employees from both the County and City of Santa Rosa. Before setting out to the 35 different projects, participants enjoyed a morning rally with a light breakfast, coffee, music, and some fun. Each employee received a commemorative Day of Caring T-shirt and enjoyed a day of work with other County and City employees.

Pictures from all of the different projects and employees will be posted on the Day of Caring Facebook page, so check back soon for the link to these wonderful images!
