Free 5-Part Integrated Design and Construction Series: Rebuilding for Comfort, Durability and Energy Efficiency
May 11, 2018 from 12:00 – 4:00 PM
North Coast Builders Exchange
The County of Sonoma Energy and Sustainability Division and Sonoma Clean Power are partnering with PG&E to bring the following training series to the North Coast Builders Exchange in Santa Rosa. The classes are free and are held on Friday afternoons beginning on April 27th. Lunch will be provided to class participants. We are very interested in promoting these important trainings to builders and contractors working on rebuilding in Santa Rosa.
This training was organized by PG&E and is offered in collaboration with County of Sonoma Energy and Sustainability Division, County of Marin Community Development Agency, and Sonoma Clean Power.
While each session stands on its own, we encourage you to attend all or as many as possible. All five take place at the North Coast Builders Exchange. Lunch will be provided for class participants.
To register go to www.pge.com/energyclasses. On the left side of the page go to the location menu, scroll down and check Santa Rosa, then click on the box above that says “FILTER”.
Session Three on May 11 - High Performance Enclosures: Air Tight, Well-Insulated, Properly Ventilated
Mike MacFarland will discuss what it takes to properly build a well-designed enclosure that will provide comfort and good indoor air quality, while reducing energy use for heating and cooling. He’ll describe how clear goals and metrics, a team approach on the job site, and planning, communication and coordination can help manage cost while resulting in a better finished building.
