1. Approval of Minor Subdivisions and Williamson Act
Howard Brunner discussed a minor subdivision in Sebastopol with concerns that the process was slow. Tennis Wick addressed the issue reporting PRMD has retained consultants Lean 6 Sigma with Dimension Data to analyze processes and projects within the agency. Lean 6 Sigma reviews process improvements and business philosophy. Process improvements will most likely start with customer service and go section by section within the organization. Howard also discussed a Williamson Act rezoning. Tennis has hired outside consultants to assist in processing project review files. Howard’s project will not result in a tax consequence to owners and the assessor and PRMD will honor the contract.
2. Training New Staff
Eric Koenigshofer asked about training new staff. Tennis partners new staff with veteran employees to visit project sites. PRMD sections visit with other sections and new staff shadow go on ride along site visits.
3. Plans by architects licensed in CA
Rene de Monchy asked about architects not licensed in California stamping plans. In the California Business and Professions Code, only a licensed California architect can stamp plans. Further information can be found in the PRMD Technical Bulletins B36 and B37.
4. 2015 PRMD Statistics
Patrick Mullin will provide 2015 end of year PRMD statistics. The numbers point out increased business and productivity.
