Summer Clerk Program
This position is an unpaid volunteer position for the summer (10 weeks). We generally recruit up to two (2) summer interns at 30-40 hours per week (each).
Interns have the opportunity to participate in the four practice groups of the Sonoma County Counsel's Office:
- Land Use and Regulation;
- Infrastructure and Public Resources;
- Litigation, Law and Justice;
- and Human Services.
The interns rotate through the four practice groups over the summer, and are exposed to a broad range of the various legal services that the County Counsel's Office provides to the County. Typically intern projects have included researching novel legal issues, assisting in the drafting of complaints and legal briefs, and participating in hearings and trials.
