Carrie CastroCarrie is the proud mother of one young adult – a very independent daughter who is passionate about people, especially those who need assistance, she grew up with this quote from her mother,  “Take care of home base, this will allow you a solid foundation to help others.”

Carrie comes from the private sector, with seventeen years of experience working with teams in the Waste/Recycling industry.  While working with sales teams she initiated a Woman’s Leadership group at Waste Management to encourage and facilitate career development for young women in the organization.

Carrie also had the privilege of introducing and deploying a girls high school work/school program run by ICA - Immaculate Conception Academy in the department under her charge.  The program, a corporate work study program engages with sponsors throughout the Bay Area (northern peninsula, San Francisco, and BART accessible East Bay). The money earned through this program offsets a significant portion of each student’s cost of education.  These young inner girls would be unable to attend a prep college high school without this program.

Carrie a Northern California native, moved to Glen Ellen from the South Bay in 2016.  She has a passion for wine and has always dreamed of living in Sonoma County.  She looks forward to growing her involvement with the community.

Carrie enjoys wine, art, travel, hiking, swimming, yoga, snow shoeing, healthy gourmet cooking,  AND most recently she inherited two healthy bee hives with the purchase of her property, she plans to grow her bee-keeping skills.
