Dirt to Dispensary Workshop Series

The Sonoma County Cannabis Program is hosting an eight-part workshop series to discuss all aspects of the Program, including permitting, zoning, compliance, standards, inspections, enforcement, business planning, taxation and more. Those interested in starting a cannabis business, permitting an existing operation, or getting more detail about what is required of cannabis businesses are encouraged to attend.

Prior to each of these workshops, relevant permit application forms and informational handouts will be made available on our website.

Following the workshop series, the permitting agencies will be hosting hands-on permitting workshops to assist operators with their applications. Dates and times will be available shortly for sign-up.

Meeting Documentation

This workshop is geared toward all sectors of the cannabis industry. Presented by the County's Energy and Sustainability division, this session will cover energy efficiency related to:

  • Lighting
  • Ventilation and dehumidification
  • Audits
  • Options to meet the renewable energy requirement by choosing solar or Sonoma Clean Power's Evergreen program

The Sonoma Clean Energy Independence Program (SCEIP) will also talk about a local financing option for energy or water improvements that is not based on credit or income but on the property itself.
