Notice is hereby given that a general municipal election
will be held in the City of Santa Rosa on Tuesday, the 3rd day of November,
2020, for the following office(s):
Official nomination petitions for
eligible candidates desiring to file for the above office(s), may be obtained
from the Office of the City Clerk, 100 Santa Rosa Ave, Room 10, Santa Rosa, beginning
July 13, 2020, through August 7, 2020.

Note that the City of Santa Rosa
is transitioning from at-large elections to district-based elections. Since this is the first time when the offices
of Member, City Council – District 1, Member, City Council – District 3,
Member, City Council – District 5, and Member, City Council – District 7 are up
for election, there are no incumbents and there will be no extension of the
nomination period. If no one or only one
person is nominated for an elected office (or, in the case of an office to be
elected at large, the number of persons nominated does not exceed the number of
seats to be filled), appointment to the elective office may be made as
prescribed by Elections Code §10229.
Voting locations will be open on
Election Day between the hours of 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, voting
locations will also be open for limited times on the three days prior to
Election Day. Specific hours for those
days will be announced closer to Election Day.
