Bi-lingual Poll Workers Needed for November General Election

One-day commitment on November 6, 2018 is a great way to contribute to the community

Santa Rosa, CA  –  September 14, 2018  –  The Sonoma County Registrar of Voters is recruiting bi-lingual polling place workers across the county for the November 6, 2018 Gubernatorial General Election. We are seeking polling place workers who are bilingual in Spanish, Khmer, Tagalog, and Vietnamese. Workers will set up and close the polling place, locate voter names on rosters, get voter signatures, provide simple instructions to voters, issue ballots, and other duties as needed. This is a great way to participate in the democratic process, earn $100, and help voters to have a positive voting experience.

To serve, poll workers must:

  • Be a registered voter in California or permanent legal resident of the United States
  • Be able to serve on Election Day (Tuesday, November 6) from about 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

If you are not bi-lingual, we need you too! Please contact us to volunteer for this rewarding opportunity.

“Working at a polling place on Election Day is an amazing and rewarding experience,” said William F. Rousseau, Sonoma County Registrar of Voters. “Poll workers are on the very front lines of our democracy.”

Please contact the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters to volunteer or obtain more information.
