Draft Amendment to Action Plan Now Available for Review

Sonoma County amends FY 2017-18 Action Plan for use of Community Development funds to respond to fire related needs

A draft resolution of the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors serving as a Substantial Amendment to the Sonoma County Annual Action Plan for Fiscal Year 2017-2018 is now available for review and public comment. 

The FY 2017-18 Action Plan pertains to the 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan for funds originating from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Office of Community Planning and Development (CPD).  

The proposed actions are related to Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding recommendations intended to address the October 2017 fires.  A public meeting is scheduled for May 16, 2018, to take oral public comment on the recommendation for amended use of these funds, following which the Sonoma County Community Development Committee will vote to make a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors.  Detailed information regarding the proposed Amendment can be obtained by contacting the Commission staff identified below.  The Substantial Amendment is available for review beginning May 10, 2018 at the following locations:

Comments may be submitted in writing up until 5:00 pm on May 21, 2018 to:

Adoption of the Substantial Amendment is scheduled to be heard by the Board of Supervisors at 8:30 am on May 22, 2018.  Written and oral comments will be forwarded to HUD with the Substantial Amendment.
