Each year, the Community Development Commission (CDC) submits a Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) which describes accomplishments made using funding from HUD programs that the CDC administers
on behalf of the County of Sonoma, including the HOME Investments Partnership Program (HOME), Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG). The Public Review Draft of the FY 16-17 CAPER is now available for public comment.
The Commission follows the process laid out in its Citizen Participation Plan for all HUD-funded programs to allow the public an opportunity to provide input on the CAPER. Per this Plan, citizens are given least 15 days in which to submit written comments. The 15-day public comment period is September 7, 2017, through September 21, 2017. The CAPER is due to HUD on September 30, 2017.
The CDC will present the draft CAPER and accept public comments orally at a public hearing on September 12, 2017, at 3:30 pm in the CDC Hearing Room, 1440 Guerneville Road, Santa Rosa, CA 95403.
Copies of the FY 16-17 CAPER Public Review Draft have been made available at the Sonoma County Community Development Commission, the Board of Supervisors’ office, and the Main Branch of the Sonoma County Library. Additionally, staff will make free copies of the draft CAPER available to citizens who do not have Internet access, upon
request. The draft CAPER can also be downloaded
