The Community Development Commission has prepared a draft Substantial
Amendment to the Sonoma County FY 2020-21 Consolidated Plan and One Year Action Plan available at

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) issued a waiver in light of the COVID-19 pandemic to waive the HOME program's set-aside requirements for Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs) and allow these funds to be spent on Tenant-Based Rental Assistance. The FY 2020-21 One Year Action Plan will be amended to reprogram $134,401 in HOME CHDO set-aside funds to the Housing Authority's Tenant-Based Rental Assistance Program. Funds will be allocated to provide assistance for twelve vulnerable senior households whose existing assistance was otherwise going to end in December 2020. The additional funds will enable continuation of assistance for these households for two years.
The Commission welcomes comment on this draft amendment. The public comment

The Sonoma County Community Development Committee and Cities and Towns
Advisory Committee will hold a public hearing to receive public comment on the
draft Substantial Amendment to Sonoma County Consolidated Plan 2020-21 One

Adoption of the Substantial Amendment to the Sonoma County FY 2020-21 One-Year Action Plan is scheduled for October 6, 2020, at 8:30 a.m. by the
Sonoma County Board of Supervisors. Written and oral comments will be forwarded
