The UC Master Gardener Program (UCMG) of Sonoma County received over 90 applications for its’ 2017 UCMG training class. We completed the interview process and recently sent out acceptance letters to 30 candidates. Class starts up in January 2017 and will run through May 2017. Topics cover a wide range such as sustainable landscaping practices, plant classification & identification, vegetable and fruit gardening, water management & conservation, soil & composting, entomology, integrated pest management, vertebrate pests, biotic & abiotic plant disorders, and more! We are excited to welcome these new volunteers into the ranks of dedicated individuals who Master Gardener Training Committee want to learn and share information with the home gardeners of Sonoma County!
