The City of Cotati has recently completed a number of improvements and has opened a section of the Veronda-Falletti Ranch to the public. The 4.37-acre property, which has been a part of the agricultural fabric of Cotati for over a hundred years, was purchased by the City in 2008 with $3.1 million in funding from the District’s Matching Grant Program.
The recent improvements include walkways, picnic tables, and a water fountain, with interpretive signage about the agricultural heritage of the ranch to be installed soon. Sheep grazing on the property offer visitors a picturesque backdrop and an opportunity to experience a farm setting in the heart of downtown Cotati. Other improvements planned for the future include the renovation and transformation of the old farmhouse into a historical and agricultural museum.
