TPW logo thumbRecommended Paving: 2018-2019

On September 26th, 2017, the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors will consider the recommended 2018-19 paving program for unincorporated County roads. The work is primarily funded with discretionary local dollars, and some funds from the new State Gas Tax. In total, the work includes 81.8 miles of roads.

Board of Supervisors Agenda Item for September 19, 2017

The Independent Office of Law Enforcement Review and Outreach (IOLERO) has released its first Annual Report summarizing the activities and findings of the Office for the period August 1, 2016 – July 31, 2017. The 61-page Report provides significant information about the activities of IOLERO, as well as statistical information, analysis of trends, policy and procedure recommendations, and audit summaries (among other topics).

Sonoma County Cannabis ProgramCannabis Penalty Relief Program Extension Proposal

Board of Supervisors Agenda Item for September 12, 2017

In order to encourage more participation in the Cannabis Program, and in response to feedback received at the Cannabis Advisory Group, the Board meeting last Tuesday (Aug. 22), and emails and calls to the County, the Cannabis Ad Hoc Committee (comprised of Supervisors Gorin and Hopkins) has recommended that the full Board consider a proposal to extend the Penalty Relief Program.

Appointments to the Independent Citizens Pension Committee

County Seal 75(1)This item requests Board of Supervisors (“Board”) approval to appoint seven members of the public to the new, ongoing Independent Citizens Pension Committee (“Committee”). The Board has adopted Pension Reform as one of its key priorities, with a goal of ensuring a fair, equitable, and sustainable pension system for taxpayers and employees alike. In April 2017, the Board created the new Committee to represent the best interests of the entire community in a non-partisan manner, and to help improve communication between the County and local residents on pension issues.

Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District to Consider Draft Mitigation Policy

Public Hearing for Chanate Development and Disposition Agreement

Cannabis Business Tax Policies and Land Use Penalty Relief

SonomaCountyCannabis_75.jpgAs recommended by The Code Enforcement Temporary Penalty Relief Program, this item would assist with implementing the Transition Period in the Cannabis Land Use Ordinance and incentivizing compliance with permitting requirements by giving currently operating businesses until August 31, 2017, to file initial applications and deferring some permit requirements to give operators time to comply.
