Santa Rosa, CA – June 7, 2017 – The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors today appointed Erick Roeser as the new Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector. Mr. Roeser has been appointed to complete the unexpired term of the incumbent, Donna Dunk, who retired in May prior to the completion of her term. Mr. Roeser’s appointment will extend through January 7, 2019. State law requires that the Board interview and appoint a successor in a public meeting of the Board, and on Tuesday the 6th the Board took this action.

Mr. Roeser has a B.S. in Business Administration with an Accounting emphasis from Sonoma State University and has served as the County's Assistant Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector since 2016. Mr. Roeser’s prior experience includes being a senior manager since 2007 for different divisions of the Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector’s Office (ACTTC) including general accounting and property tax accounting. Mr. Roeser has worked for the County of Sonoma for over 23 years, the last 16 of which were with ACTTC. His appointment provides long tenured leadership, experience, and knowledge of the Office, as well as stability in the oversight of the County's finances. The current salary for the position is $228,039.

As Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector, Mr. Roeser will lead an organization of over 90 employees, and a departmental budget of approximately $155 million, with the fiduciary responsibility for overseeing the County’s fiscal operations that exceed $1.37 billion in appropriations.
