Treasurer-Tax Collector

Erick Roeser, 150x191Erick Roeser was appointed to the Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector's Office on June 6, 2017, to fill the term ending January 2019.

Prior to his appointment by the County of Sonoma Board of Supervisors, Mr. Roeser served as the Assistant Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector and as a senior manager directing the activities of several divisions within the office since 2007.

Mr. Roeser's appointment will provide long-tenured leadership, experience, stability, and knowledge to the oversight of County finances and the Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector's office.

    Tax Payment and Adjustment for Fire-Damaged Properties

    The Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector and Clerk-Recorder-Assessor Offices are working to adjust tax bills for properties destroyed by the recent fires.

    Intercepting Payments

    If you sent a tax payment by mail and your property was damaged or destroyed by fire, please send an email to and include the following information:

    • Owner Name
    • Assessor Parcel Number (APN) and Property Address
    • Check number, amount, and date payment was mailed
    • If you want your check held for pick-up or destroyed

    The Tax Collector will make every effort intercept payments, but cannot guarantee it in all cases. Payments intercepted will be held for pick up for 45 days and then destroyed.
