  • The accuracy, application and proper use of these devices are crucial in determining a value of a commercial transaction between buyers and sellers.
  • The Division of Weights and Measures investigates over 100 consumer complaints filed with our office on an annual basis.  
  • The Petroleum Products Program maintains and enforces the minimum performance standards for most petroleum and automotive products sold in California.  This includes products like gasoline, diesel fuel, motor oil, brake fluids, automatic transmission fluids, engine coolants and gear oils.
  • The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors has determined that it is in the public's interest to register and inspect all automated point-of-sale systems operating in Sonoma County.
  • Quantity Control Program serves to verify the labeling requirements of retail consumer products offered for sale as required under the Federal Fair Package and Labeling Act.
  • The Weighmaster Program is a state operated program that licenses businesses that buy or sell wholesale bulk commodities.  Weighmaster companies that include rock-sand-gravel delivery trucks, concrete delivery trucks, etc.
