Agriculture / Weights & Measures
The Department of Agriculture/Weights & Measures enforces the laws and regulations of the California Food and Agriculture Code, the California Business & Professions Code and the California Code of Regulations while serving at the discretion of the County Board of Supervisors and CDFA's Secretary of Food & Agriculture. Sonoma County's Department of Agriculture/Weights & Measures employs a staff of thirty-nine people and has its main office in Santa Rosa, with a small satellite office with limited public hours in the city of Sonoma.

The Department of Agriculture/Weights & Measures office is open to the public beginning. Normal business hours are from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
The Sonoma office hours are Wednesdays from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm or by appointment.

2024 Point Fire Agricultural Crop Damage Assessment Form
The Sonoma County Department of Agriculture/Weights & Measures (AWM) is conducting a preliminary data capture to evaluate potential damage and/or loss sustained during the June 2024 Point Fire in Sonoma County. AWM may contact the reporting party for additional information. Data collected is for AGRICULTURAL CROP RELATED damage and/or loss only. All information is confidential. This information will be used to compile a damage assessment report for Sonoma County in order to qualify Sonoma County for possible federal assistance.
