Best Management Practices

Growers are encouraged, but not required, to follow Best Management Practices by monitoring for LBAM.

Bring any suspicious larvae or pupae to the Agricultural Commissioner’s Office for identification. By checking for LBAM larvae, not only will you be able to detect any LBAM infestations in the early stages, you will also find larvae of any other pest that might be in your vineyard.

Additionally, growers are encouraged, but not required, to document scouting for LBAM or send a record of it to our office.

However, weekly monitoring for LBAM is required to ship grapes from the LBAM quarantine area of Sonoma County to British Colombia, Canada.
